Mary Ruth “Tiddles” Bumpass, 74, of Royse City passed away Feb. 22, 2014.
She was born July 7, 1939, in Dallas to Bob and Lillian Tarpley. Tiddles worked as a group manager for the I.R.S. for 40 years. She was very involved at First United Methodist Church of Royse City, where she was a member.
Tiddles was part of the Women’s Circle, delivered Meals on Wheels for more than 35 years and was a volunteer with C.A.S.A. where she helped youth in need. She enjoyed painting, gardening and being outdoors. Everyone will remember Tiddles for how soft spoken and kind she always was.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Don Bumpass; son Bradley Dana Bumpass and wife Crystal; daughter Laurel Gail White and husband B.J.; two granddaughters, Rheagan Allison White and Charlie Gail White; and sister Bobbie “Tinker” Gardner and husband Keith.
Tiddles was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Feb. 28, at First United Methodist Church in Royse City.
