Anita Ann Chandler was born March 8, 1956, in Algoma, W.Va., and passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones, including her best friend, Beanna Gaytan, on May 31, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lucy Blackwell; her sisters, Belinda Burrell of Detroit, Mich., and Twila Blackwell of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and brother Orlando Coles from Los Angeles, California.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Chester Chandler; sons Idris and Kazid of Royse City; son Jabri and daughter-in law Denise Chandler of Euless, Texas; and son Gerald Kirtz of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandsons Noah and Josiah; granddaughter Antiqea Kirtz; and great-grandson Christopher James Kirtz; her loving sister, Gloria Dawson and her children Michelle Dawson Humpries from Florida and John Dawson Jr and wife Mariya, of Chicago, Il.; the entire Burrell clan from Detroit, Mich., which includes nieces and grandnieces and nephews; her niece, Tonya Bowley; and her daughter, Danielle Frecker from Ft.Wayne, Ind.; her beloved first cousins, Robert, as well as Jerry Wilson, and Annette Wilson Evans, from Chicago, Il., all whom she loved dearly.
Anita devoted her time between her family and caring for the elderly at Senior Care at Lakepointe and will be dearly missed by all, including a host of former co-workers and cherished friends.
Services will be held Saturday, July 1, at Still Water Community Church in Rowlett, Texas, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
