BILLYE's Story

She was born July 12, 1929, in Hunt County to Ollie and Laura (Dixon) Clem.  Billye was the president of the Resident Council and Welcoming Committee at Senior Care at Lake Pointe where she led Bible studies. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Fellowship Circle. Billye had completed Discipleship Class and taught the St. John’s Sunday School Class. She was also a volunteer at Rockwall County Helping Hands.
Billye is survived by her daughter, Marisa McDonald and husband David of Royse City; sisters Peggy Langford and husband Gordon, Nancy Thornton and husband Brady, Carolyn Land and Judy Tywater; brothers Hubert Clem and wife Sue and Jimmy Dale Clem; brother-in-law Charles Scott; stepdaughter Michelle; stepson Mark; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd O. Manning Jr.; a son, Michael Dean Bryant; daughter Jeanette Bryant-O’Brien; a sister, Faye Scott; and great-granddaughter Lauren Farmer Martin.  
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Feb. 13, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Mike Dunham officiating.  Interment followed in Royse City Cemetery.
