Carmen's Story

Carmen Janice Faulkner went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Dec. 5, 2014, at 5:20 a.m. at her home in Royse City. 
Carmen was 63 years old and died after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born on March 11, 1951, in Dallas at St. Paul Hospital to parents Patricia Ann Moore and Thomas Berton Moore.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald Faulkner; daughter, Shannon Faulkner Hall; son, Spencer Faulkner; mother; Patricia Ann Moore; sister, Sally Ann Boyd; and grandchildren, Kathryn Anesa Faulkner and Clay Faulkner Hall; son-in-law, James Hall; and daughter-in-law, Mary Katherine Faulkner.
Carmen graduated from Garland High School in 1969. She worked for many years at Fujitsu and CTAP in Rockwall and retired three years ago from TSA at Love Field.
Carmen was raised in Rowlett, and after marrying Donny and having their two children moved to Leonard until both graduated. They lived in Plano for a number of years and then put down roots in Royse City to be near her parents. They have lived in Royse City for 18 years. She and her loving husband raised and held together a beautiful family with a very strong bond.  
She was a member of the Royse City Methodist Church and enjoyed the fellowship with other members.
Carmen was a very talented painter and artist and extremely creative. She found joy in simple things such as digging in the dirt with her green thumb, fishing, the outdoors, cooking and spending time with her family. She loved good music and little babies as well as her devoted dog, Rosey, who was glued to her side during her illness. Her faith in Christ was unfailing even in her darkest hour.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 20, 2014, in Royse City Methodist Church, 305 N Josephine St, Royse City, at 2 p.m., with  Chaplin Ron Scott officiating.
The family requests no flowers be sent, however memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club of North Texas, One Works of Grace Plaza, 2710 Oak Lawn Ave.,Dallas, Texas 75219.
