Kirk Wright, an 8-year resident of Royse City, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2013, at the age of 58.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1954, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Robert and Mary Wright. Kirk worked at Raytheon/E-Systems/L-3 in Greenville for 27 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Royse City.
Kirk was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was naturally inquisitive, and he loved to share the knowledge he had acquired over the years with his family and friends. It seemed as though Kirk could and would share life experiences for any problem that might arise. When others had given up all hope on an individual, Kirk would often take that person and mold them for the better. He reminded people that you couldn’t do anything about the past, but learn your lesson and improve in the future.
Kirk Wright was a truly good and honest man. He was a true role model who touched many lives, and his word was his bond.
Kirk came to know and love the Lord. Kirk is missed, but his family and friends take comfort in the knowledge that they will be reunited with him one day in the presence of God.
Kirk is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Gail Hickman; children Trish Argumainz and husband Charles, J.M. Garza and wife Michaelle, Michael Garza and wife Linda and Matthew Garza and wife Carlotta; his mother, Mary L Wright; siblings David Wright and wife Emily and Lynn Shelton and husband Bobby; and grandchildren Cordell and Cadance Argumainz, Gracie and Austin Garza, and Olivia Garza.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Wright.
Services are pending with Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
