Marjorie Mae Farrar, 80, was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Harlingen, Texas, and passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017, with her beloved daughters by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lila Nixon; her siblings, Alma, Lester and James Nixon; and by her beloved husband of 57 years, L. Roy Farrar.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Farrar Goodloe and spouse Mario Goodloe of Mesquite, Texas, and Joanna Farrar of Royse City, Texas; sister Nina and husband Carl Moore of Portland, Ore.; four-legged son Bugsy; and two granddogs, Rio and Lacy.
At the age of 19 Marjorie began her 33-year career at Braniff International and later went on to work for 20 years at Southwest Airlines. She and Roy enjoyed traveling the world throughout their lives together, as well as spending time at "the ranch" in Llano, Texas. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and socializing at the Royse City Senior Center during her retirement.
She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Her memorial service will be held at Eastridge Church of Christ in Rockwall, Texas, Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m.
