Mary Lou (Cunningham) Culp, 79, of Royse City passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1935, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a registered nurse for 48 years and worked in the healthcare industry. Mary was a member of Second Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James William Culp Sr. of Royse City; two sisters, Marjorie Caliman of Gardena, Calif., and Carrie Young (John) of San Antonio; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and seven children; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ann E. and Taylor E. Smith; a brother, Eddie Cunningham Jr.; and a sister, Clara Belle Shanklin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 16, at Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, 1233 State Highway 66, Garland, TX 75040 with Rev. James O. Herndon officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at Second Chapel Baptist Church, 1409 Dairy Road, Garland, TX 75040 from 6 to 8 p.m.
