Do not grieve for me, because on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, I left my painful, cancer ridden body to walk the streets of gold with my Lord Jesus.
It saddened me to leave behind my precious wife, Tammie, of 29 years; and my three children, Trenton Dale and my daughter-in-law Lynsey, Dakota James and his fiancée Ashlea Gilbert, and my princess, Madison Nicole and her boyfriend Brady Jump. Let's not forget the light of my life, my granddaughter, Addyson Kay White. I also had the privilege to have two goddaughters, Bailey and Payten, whom I loved dearly and was very proud of.
From my humble beginnings in Wichita Falls, life has been very kind to me. I was blessed with loving parents: Kelly, Coy, Lucky and Jessie. But, the most joy and fun I got out of life was my time spent with my two brothers, Steve and Bobby. Oh, what stories we have to tell. Together, we made it through some pretty rough times, but I am so proud of the men you are today. God knew they would need taming down, so he blessed them with loving wives, Diane and Janna. I was also blessed with former/forever sisters-in-law, Diane Syms and Debbie Thompson.
My life was so complete and blessed by all my nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. You brought me so much joy and happiness. Our time together, whether on the porch, the roping arena, at the kitchen table, or at the hunting camp, were times I treasured and I hope you will always remember those times with a smile. I had some of the best role models ever in my Aunt Kay, Uncle Roy Lee, Knight and Uncle Gary and Aunt Glenda Dale.
Most men are blessed with one love in their lives, I however, was blessed with two. I was privileged to marry my high school sweetheart, Sandra Welch Reilly. She blessed my life in so many ways and I will love her always. Guess I was the kind of guy who needed two good women to keep me lined out, and up until my last breath, they did their jobs.
I have had a great life. Don't cry for me. Instead, put your focus on taking care of your families. Love them, hug them, tell them you love them, but most importantly, teach them about Christ. Without Him, they will never know true inner peace as I did.
My friends and precious family, hold each other tightly, think of me often with a smile. I'm always with you. Don't be afraid ... Hold your head high ... and hunt on!
I love you all,
