VELMA's Story

Velma Lee Parks White, 85, of Royse City passed away June 26, 2013.  
She was born June 28, 1927, in Royse City to Flona and Lee Parks. Mrs. White was a member of First Baptist Church of Royse City and the Eastern Star. She was a retired beauty operator.
Mrs. White is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Hill, Johnnie Masters and husband Andy and Valerie Ferguson and husband Jerry, all of Royse City; sisters Betty Royal of Seagoville and Margaret Parton of California; grandchildren Eric Hill and wife Melissa of Prosper and Joshua, Mollee and Drew Masters; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Hill and Holton Masters; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John White; her parents; sisters Maxine Robinson and Muriel Donaghey; brothers Earl, Bobby and Donald Parks; and grandson Joshua Ferguson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., June 29, at First Baptist Church, 900 Pullen Rd., Royse City, with Pastor Les Joslin officiating. Interment follows in Royse City Cemetery.  
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
