Wayne's Story

Wayne Krider, 85, of Royse City passed away May 2, 2011. 
He was born Nov. 14, 1925, in Fate to Clarence and Josie (Cornelius) Krider. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, as well as his county for 12 years as the county commissioner. He also served on the Volunteer Fire Department, the board of the Royse City Cemetery Association and as the president of the Blackland Cemetery Association. Wayne attended Lake Pointe Church.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Pinion) Krider; children Sherry Swiney and husband Royce, Mike Krider and wife Jenny and Shelly Webb and husband Darrell, all of Royse City; grandchildren Angela Davis of Fate, Amy Swiney of Dallas, Lacy Joslin and husband Josh of Saginaw, and Randi Krider, Hunter Webb and Hannah Webb, all of Royse City; and great-grandchildren Peyton Carver of Fate and Alexys Joslin of Saginaw.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., May 4, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Les Joslin officiating. Interment followed in Royse City Cemetery.
