William H. Bossert Jr., 84, of Royse City passed away May 7, 2014.
He was born March 13, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to William Sr. and Mina (Schnittker) Bossert. William served his country with distinction in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Babylon, New York, and the Lutheran Church. William was a telephone pioneer. He was a past municipal judge in Royse City and a bailiff for the grand jury in Rockwall County.
William is survived by a son, William Bossert III of Midlothian; daughter Marilee Stanley and husband Steve of Royse City; grandchildren Alexis, Jacob and Madelyn Stanley and Kenn and Amanda Bossert of Arlington; beloved companion Mona George of Wylie and children Debra, Dee, Doug and Jess; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom he knew and loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., May 12, in the Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett chapel with Rev. Jim Burt officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
