Southlake, TX - Jo Howell Leggett passed away on July 22, 2024, surrounded by her family, at the age of 90. She was born on August 30, 1933, in Caddo Mills, Texas to Boyd Forehand and Bessie (Smith) Forehand. Jo was a loving mother, and a dedicated member of the Community Baptist of Royse City. Jo's life was marked by her deep love for her family, her love for sports, especially basketball, and her support for the Dallas Mavericks. She had a flair for entertaining and decorating, and she was always impeccably dressed, embodying grace and style. Jo's life was a testament to her loving nature and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family and community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Lanny Howell and wife Elizabeth, Phyllis O'Reilly-Sollars and husband Donald, Vicki Lumley and husband Sandy, Cheryl Lentz and husband Dennis, and Kim Butler and husband Chris. Jo was a cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Jenna, Landan, Katie, Michael, Kris, Cole, Chase, Brittani, Brandon, Noelle, Matthew, and Shelby. She was also a proud great-grandmother to J.C., Delilah, Harrison, Reo, Lincoln, Gage, Kelsey, Macy, Elle, Jack, Cameron, Madison, Jaden, Kailer, and Krew. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, her children's father, Kenneth Howell, and her previous husband, Pete Leggett. Funeral service will take place 11:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the funeral at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home.
