Royse City, TX - Johnny Carrol Gibbs, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Royse City, Texas on 07/13/2025. Born January 01/29/1946, to Curtis and Mozelle Gibbs (Page). Johnny graduated from Royse City High School where he met his wife Sandra Gibbs (Shelton) to whom he was married for 61 years. Johnny was the Deputy Chief of the Mesquite Fire Department, working for the Department for 33 years, but his true love was always being a farmer. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was devoted to his loved ones and will be dearly missed by them all. Johnny is survived by his wife, Sandra Gibbs, children, Bobby Gibbs and partner Matthew Wilson, Bryan Gibbs and his wife Becky Gibbs, and grandchild: Cody Gibbs and his wife Ariel Gibbs. A graveside service was held on July 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Royse City Cemetery.
